ME7 EEPROM TOOL · ONLINE + WINDOWS

Engine will not start after the flash? The fault is in the EEPROM.

An aborted flash on a Bosch ME7 leaves an open flash session in the EEPROM. The ECU stays silent even though the flash itself is fine. The ME7 EEPROM Tool reads the dump, shows the affected bytes, resets the session and recalculates the checksums. Plus immobiliser and cruise control coding with one click.

How you work with it

01

Load the dump

Load 95040, 95080 or 95160 as a binary file. The tool recognises the size and the checksum rule of the software version.

02

Read the state

Open flash session, lock byte, error flag, immobiliser status and cruise control coding are shown with address and value.

03

Choose the repair

‘Recommended repair’ resets only flash session, lock byte and error flag. You change immo and cruise control only if you really want to.

04

Write

Checksums per block are recalculated, the dump is ready for download. Back into the EEPROM with your programmer, done.

Features in detail

No-start reset

The bytes of the unfinished flash session are set to the factory state. The ECU starts again, without a new flash and without replacement.

Immobiliser

Read the status and change it if you wish. With Kessy/Immo 4 the tool warns you: there, immo-off is the wrong way, resetting the session is enough.

Cruise control coding

ACC, GRA or no cruise control by selection, the coding bytes are set in both places.

Checksums per block

16-byte blocks with their own checksum are recalculated after every change, the rule is recognised per software version.

Error flag and lock byte

Both are shown and reset if you wish, individually or with the recommended repair.

Info in the tool

Explanation of no-start blocks, addresses and procedure directly in the tool, in five languages.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the engine not start after an aborted flash?

The ME7 records in the EEPROM that a flash session is running. If it is not ended cleanly, the entry remains and the ECU refuses to start, even if the flash is complete.

Should I set immo-off for starting problems?

With Kessy/Immo 4, no. There the ECU would otherwise lock in the run-on phase. The right way is to leave immo and cruise control original and only reset flash session, lock byte and error flag. That is exactly what ‘Recommended repair’ does.

Which EEPROMs are supported?

95040, 95080 and 95160 of the ME7 family. The checksum rule is recognised per software version.

Do I need hardware?

An EEPROM programmer to read and write the chip. The tool itself works with the dump.

Is the tool available for Windows?

Yes, with the same range of functions. It is included in the Workshop Package.
